St. Elizabeth Seton Men’s Club is a social organization that is open to all men of the parish, 21 years of age and older. We also welcome their relatives and friends.
We offer fellowship, activities, refreshments, socialization, monthly raffles, fundraisers and we have food and beverages at every meeting.
We have a golf league that currently plays on Mondays at Old Oak Country Club. We sponsor various social and service events throughout the year. Our major event is our annual Lenten Fish Fry.
Our club holds meetings in the McBrady Center which is attached to the Cardinal Joseph Bernadin school on the second Wednesday of every month, September through May. The meetings begin at 7:30 PM.
We successfully held our first meeting of the year on Wednesday September 9,2020.
Jim Hofbauer Award
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the end-of-year meeting was not held in May 2020. At this meeting we normally honor a member of our club for their dedication to and support of our club. The member chosen is honored with the Jim Hofbauer Award. Since the meeting was not held no presentation was made.
Although socially distanced, Carl Holmquist was presented with the Jim Hofbauer Award outside his home with his wife present. The presentation was made by 2019-2020 President Jim Grant.
Congratulations Carl! THANK YOU for all that you do!
NOTE: Due to State of Illinois protocols in place the Men’s Club Board has suspended the schedule for General Meetings until further notice.
We will be observing all protocols that are currently in place, i.e., temperature checks at the entrance, masks will be required, social distancing.
The PLC will be set up with the tables spaced appropriately. We will NOT be doing any cooking so any food/snacks will be individually portioned if available. The usual beverages will be available.
If you wish to attend please let us know via email to email@example.com.
